Reading JournalWe require grade 5 students to read or listen to at least 20 minutes a day outside of the class. They should choose a fiction or non-fiction English language book to read or use in RAZ kids or have a parent read a story along with them. Please record daily reading in the pink homework book with the DATE, BOOK READ, and a COMMENT about your reading. You may want to comment on parts you enjoyed, or characters you find interesting. You may want to comment on the author's choices in their writing or perhaps ask a question. You could make a prediction about what may happen next. You could write about challenged you in your reading!
MathleticsThe students will be assigned a few short activities per week to be completed at home. They will relate to the maths central idea and will extend their knowledge from the classroom to home.
