With Nora's creativity, we renamed it our "PDF" inquiry. Using drawings and number lines, G5.2 showed what they already understood about fractions decimals and percents and connections to the real world. Afterwards, we shared what we knew and created questions about what we need to find out. Today we went to Nexus to learn about our exhibition. We finded out something about arts, sport animals, food and nature. For example some people don’t has food and money but they need to maintain their life. Some people only has one dollar in one day! Some animals are killed by people. And some people cut down the trees.
We learn many things about exhibition in Nexus. This field trip was helpful about our exhibition. G5.2 reflected on their learning after our first week of finding out about our topics. As we continue this week in Finding Out, we then set our weekly learning goal based on our reflections.
On Monday you will receive a permission form to join us on our field trip to NEXUS' International School's Exhibition on the morning of Wednesday, March 15th. Please complete and return your form to school by Wednesday. This is a great opportunity to expand your understanding of the PYP exhibition journey!
During math this week we got to choose a 3D shape, to think of different ways a net could be made with that shape. We had to visualize and draw the net. We got to choose out of a candle which was a hexagonal prism and a die which was a cube. As extra help we got to use little shapes that we could attach to each other and then we got to see how we could make different nets. The most nets anyone could make was ten nets. We all had so much fun doing this activity and working with others.
